Learning Environment
Rothschild Elementary Learning Environment
Rothschild Elementary was built in 1959, with an addition in 2020. Our current student enrollment is approximately 420 students. Rothschild holds a variety of district specific programs and special education programs for students with a variety of learning needs from 3K to Grade 5.
Our staff employs teaming so your child may receive instruction from a variety of certified teachers. In doing so, we use a variety of research-based curriculum and strategies for mathematics and literacy instruction, incorporate STEAM, and integrate writing. In addition, Rothschild uses technology as a learning tool. iPads are integral in your child’s learning experience, and he/she will gain many technology skills as well as use this iPad in his/her day-to-day learning.
We will continue to promote wellness for students, staff, and the community. We will encourage healthy eating and increasing physical activity. Along with a healthy body, we teach students the importance of teamwork and social skills and will reinforce appropriate use of those skills. We also recognize students for their academic and behavioral success.
The DC Everest district employs specialists to assist the schools in developing the total child. Certified personnel provide music, art, life skills, physical education and library instruction. A school counselor is also available for individual, group, and classroom counseling.
